Countryside Community Church began as a result of 15 adults who met in the Spring of 1993.  This core group of Christians felt the leading of God to begin a new and vibrant church in the Spearfish area.  They were drawn to the ministry by a strong desire to provide something uniquely relevant to unchurched people in the Northern Black Hills.  Countryside Community Church officially began on September 12, 1993, and services were held in Spearfish Middle School.  As the Church grew, services were moved to the Spearfish High School Theater, and then to the Donald E. Young Center on the BHSU Campus.  In September 2006, Countryside Community Church moved into it's own building on Woodland Drive, where services are currently held.   The Lord has blessed those original committed people for their hard work, helping the church grow from 15 adults to its present size.
