Our mission is to reach out with God's love to all children and help them find and follow Jesus Christ.

Purpose

Our purpose is to see children come to KNOW  Jesus Christ as Savior, to GROW as members of God's family, and to GO in service to our Lord.

KNOW:  To teach each child about who Jesus is and how to follow Him.
GROW:  To facilitate each child's growth in his or her relationship with Jesus Christ and the knowledge of His word.
GO: To prepare each child to share the love of Christ with their family, friends, neighbors and the world through their attitudes, actions and words.

Values

Relationships: Just as God is our Shepherd, the volunteers of Promise Land will shepherd each child and foster relationships amongst the children and themselves.

Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseer - not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be...being examples to the flock.           1 Peter 5:2-3

Engagement: Teachers are committed to reach each child through the unique ways they learn, using intentional, creative teaching techniques to inspire within each child a desire to learn more about God.

There are different kinds of gifts but the same spirit. There are different kinds of service but all the same Lord. There are different kinds of working but the same God works all of them in all men. Now to each one the manifestation of the spirit is given for the common good.                        1 Corinthians 12:4-7

Application: Teachers are committed to teaching lessons that have real life application that each child can use toward developing their Christian worldview.  

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.            2 Timothy 3:16-17

Creating a Safe Place: The environment of Promise Land provides a safe shelter for every child emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

Learning

With the help of our committed volunteers, Promise Land provides an environment where children can enjoy great learning as well as loving relationships from ages 3 through 6th grade.

In large group our Bible lessons are taught in creative ways through drama, song, multi-media and fun activities. Exploring ways to live out the Biblical truths taught in large groups happens in small groups. Small groups are age-appropriate and allow each child a safe place to build relationships and be encouraged and guided as they grow in their knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Bible lessons that are age-appropriate, interactive and relevant to today's child is our goal because we want this to be the best hour in every kid's week!
